Street style inspiration from Copenhagen Fashion Week spring/summer 2020
Following the cancellation of Stockholm Fashion Week’s latest season, to allow the Swedish Fashion Council to find more sustainable alternatives, all eyes are on its Danish neighbour. Copenhagen Fashion Week, due to run from August 6 to 9, is still the epitome of Scandi cool – jam-packed with sought-after labels and agenda-setting influencers, with sustainability high on the agenda.
Among the brands exhibiting in the capital this summer are LVMH Prize finalist Cecilie Bahnsen, whimsical Stine Goya, street-style favourite Saks Potts and cult hit Ganni, which has come to define the region’s laid-back, playful aesthetic. There’s also leather specialist Stand, quirky London-based label Brøgger and fairy tale-inspired Helmstedt.
Despite the breadth of talent on the catwalk, some of the most memorable ensembles come courtesy of the models, buyers and editors sitting front row. Expect a palette of ice-cream pastels, eye-catching accessories and sculptural silhouettes. As the shows get underway, ’s Søren Jepsen hits the streets in search of the best looks.
