Luka Sabbat style file

New York native Luka Sabbat boasts an impressive resumé for his age. At just 21 years old, the self-described “creative entrepreneur” – dubbed an It-boy and influencer by the press – models, designs and directs for his multimedia art project-cum-label Hot Mess, and is currently starring alongside Chloë Sevigny and Bill Murray in zombie comedy . But it’s Sabbat’s innate sense of style that has caught our eye (and a few others too: his Instagram following is almost 2 million-strong). 

Already a front row fixture at fashion week – Sabbat’s friends include the likes of Louis Vuitton menswear artistic director, Virgil Abloh – he’s been making it into the street style photographers’ edits for the last few seasons. His signatures include sharp tailoring paired with statement streetwear: looking just as easy in a scarlet Dior suit as he does running around town in oversize joggers and Rick Owens Geobasket high-tops; or when accessorising the whole look with a floral Louis Vuitton leather harness. 

Sabbat definitely isn’t afraid to experiment with his look. An early adopter of the new-gen Western aesthetic, cowboy boots are his go-to (when he’s not in trainers) and oversized buckles are a recurring theme. The pairing of python boots with a Vetements denim tuxedo, is arguably one of his best looks to date; closely followed by the custom grayscale American flag, styled into a long top and pleated skirt over wide-leg trousers by Louis Vuitton, that he wore on the 2019 Met Gala pink carpet (above).
