Bella Hadid nails the break-up makeover, debuting a new bleached mane

While it may not be a scientifically-proven fact that a break-up makeover can help to heal a wounded heart, there is no denying that the power of a new look is a sure-fire way to clean the slate when you want nothing more than a fresh start. 

Following the recent debut of her new ‘do, we have no doubt that model Bella Hadid, who reportedly split from on-again-off-again boyfriend, The Weeknd, agrees.

Taking to the streets of Los Angeles overnight, just one week after news of her break-up with the  singer first made headlines, the 22-year-old model showed off a freshly bleached mane, which sat in a messy bun beneath a baseball cap.

Yes, Hadid did debut a lighter look via a series of behind-the-scenes shots from her  shoot in July, however it seems she’s taken the plunge and bleached her hair even blonder.

While this new shade, which happens to be even lighter than the hue of her sister Gigi Hadid’s hair, is the lightest we’ve seen the model’s locks in a rather long time, it is reportedly closer to her natural shade than her brunette ‘do was.

In an interview with  in 2019, Hadid revealed she has been dyeing her natural blonde hair for quite some time now. “I just have a darker personality,” she told the publication. “And my sister being blonde and me being brunette, it’s a good separation.”

In early August,  reported that Hadid and The Weeknd had split. According to a source, distance reportedly played a factor in their decision to part ways.

“They are in different places right now, physically and mentally,” the source told the publication. “Bella is prepping for her fashion week commitments and Abel is working on his music and his upcoming acting debut.”

Broken hearted or not, there is no denying Hadid has nailed the break-up makeover.
