Former Champion Possibly Returning To WWE, Update On Ricky Steamboat, Jr.

— The latest issue of the Pro Wrestling Torch speculates that Rob Van Dam could return to WWE at the Royal Rumble.

RVD has told friends he hasn’t spoken with TNA officials since November, however a source close to him feels he would open to a the idea of a short return with WWE if the money and creative plans were to his liking.

— Ricky Steamboat, Jr. arrived in Tampa this past week and will begin appearing on Florida Championship Wrestling events shortly. The son of “The Dragon” recently signed a developmental contract after competing across the globe for a little over a year in order to hone his skills before jumping to WWE.

— John Laurinaitis scouted prospective talent this past Wednesday at the company’s former developmental affiliate, Ohio Valley Wrestling. OVW put together a 50-slot camp for those who wanted a direct look by WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.
