JR Blog Report: HBK & Flair's WWE Returns, Sandman, Stables
Source: JRsBarBQ.com
Jim Ross is back with another blog entry. As always, there’s plenty of behind the scenes news and insight. Here are some of the hilights from this week’s update:
– HBK is doing amazing well with his physical recovery and I expect to see him back before the end of this calendar year, perhaps even by Survivor Series if we are all fortunate. I sure miss HBK’s skills and talent on Raw.
– Ric Flair has not walked away from the WWE and if I were forced to make a friendly wager I would expect we will see Ric again much sooner than later. At least, that is my hope.
– The lack of “stables” or “factions” is a by product of the overall lack of depth that currently exists within the business. This lack of quality depth is a serious issue that needs to be rectified ASAP. I know it is an issue many are aware and working on solutions. I do think that some veteran talent could be better utilized until younger stars take hold.
– I never got to know Sandman really well but had a few conversations with him and always enjoyed shooting the breeze with the ECW Original. I am sorry that Sandman is no longer in the WWE but those things happen for a reason and not just for the hell of it. [Sandman was reportedly fired after a backstage altercation with road agent Ricky Steamboat].
