Randy Orton Trashes AJ Styles For “Getting A Tan With Dixie Carter” While He Was Headlining WrestleMania
Smackdown Live has been known as a lot of things over the years, but it would appear that one of WWE’s longest running veterans, Randy Orton, is absolutely not okay with his show being referred to as the “house that AJ Styles built”.
This Tuesday night both The Viper and The Phenomenal One took to the ring just two days after Orton dropped an unsuspecting Styles with an RKO out of nowhere at WWE Fastlane.
The man once known as sports entertainment’s Legend Killer wasted no time in trashing Styles for his roots as an “indie darling”, claiming that he was headlining WrestleMania, winning world championships and challenging icons like The Undertaker while AJ was busy “getting a tan with Dixie Carter” in Florida, of course referring to his time as the face of Impact Wrestling for well over a decade.
.@RandyOrton wants @AJStylesOrg to "pay rent," well, he can take that check at #WrestleMania!

Styles got in plenty of his own shots, reminding Orton that he got plenty of help from the WWE machine along his road to greatness, citing his time in Evolution under the learning tree of Ric Flair and Triple H, his beloved tag team Rated RKO alongside Edge, and even mocked his infamous run alongside the Wyatt Family.

It wasn’t long before the two heated stars were ready to rumble, but before hands could be thrown Styles officially threw down a challenge for the two to face off one-on-one on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Thus far Orton has not technically excepted the challenge for a match at WrestleMania, deciding instead to leave the ring before things got physical, but it seems only a matter of time before this one is on the books.
