SPOILERS: Complete 2/20 WWE NXT Television Taping Results

The following report contains SPOILERS for upcoming episodes of WWE NXT television, which will begin rolling out next Wednesday, February 27th. They will be taping three episodes this evening. Thanks to @MrJacobCohen on Twitter. 

 — The Dusty Rhodes Classic is returning! Tonight’s taping will see the first round and the semifinals. We’ll also see Shayna Baszler vs. Mia Yim, and a #1 contender’s match between Io Shirai and Bianca Belair.

— War Raiders def. Vandal Ortagun & Chico Adams

— They showed footage of Velveteen Dream winning the NXT North American Championship, so apparently that’s the option they chose to go with for the show airing tonight (2/20).

— Johnny Gargano came out and talked about showing the entire world what NXT is all about when debuting on RAW and Smackdown Live. Unfortunately, when he had his first championship defense last week, he failed. Tommaso Ciampa came out and reminded him that they won together on RAW and Smackdown, and the reason he lost to Dream is because he went out alone and refused his help. Ciampa wants them to team up in the Dusty Classic because that’s where it all started between them, and it could be their chance to start over. Gargano thinks about it… and ultimately the two shake hands. DIY is back!

— Aliyah & Vanessa Borne def. Taynara Conti & Xia Li

— Dominik Dijakovic and Keith Lee fought to a double count-out. The crowd chanted “let them fight” and “we want Regal” as the two continued to brawl.

— Velveteen Dream came out to remind everyone who the NXT North American Champion is, but was cut off by Matt Riddle. Riddle congratulates him on winning the title, but he’s out to challenge for the belt. Dream says he’s not Riddle’s bro and he’s the only man in the spotlight, which turns the lights out and shines a spotlight on the champion.

— Luke Menzies def. Eric Bugenhagen

— Bayley and Sasha Banks are here! The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are in the building! Banks says you never forget where you came from, and the last time they were in an NXT ring together it was their Iron Women Match at NXT Takeover. They announce that the titles will be defended EVERYWHERE so the locker room needs to step up.

— Adam Cole def. Punishment Martinez

— Cole cut a promo saying he was never granted a rematch for the NXT North American Championship and trashed Velveteen Dream. Dream came out and the two started to brawl, until Punishment Martinez came back and dropped Cole. Dream hit the top rope elbow just for fun to finish him off.

#1 Contender’s Match
— Io Shirai vs. Bianca Belair ends in a No Contest when Shayna Baszler came out and attacked both women. Kairi Sane ran out, but got caught in a chokehold as well. Io tried to make a comeback but couldn’t.

— Aleister Black & Ricochet def. DIY

— The finals are set. Forgotten Sons will battle Aleister Black and Ricochet.

— DIY was obviously disappointed after losing. Candice LeRae came out to check on her husband and comfort him. All three walked up the ramp together and Ciampa tried to throw Gargano into the tron again, echoing two years ago when he first turned. Gargano saw it coming and got the jump on him, throwing Ciampa into the tron instead and beating the holy hell out of him. Johnny and Candice Wrestling posed together over the champion to end the taping.
