Queens Park Rangers will be hoping to cause an upset when they welcome Manchester United to Loftus Road in Saturday’s pre-season friendly.

The match will welcome fans back to the stadium for the first time since December 2020, with Mark Warburton’s team hoping to give them something to celebrate.

QPR vs Manchester United latest odds

Having finished the last Championship season strongly with 15 wins from the final 25 games, QPR are available at 3/1 (4.00) with bet365 to pull off a shock victory here.

New signings Jimmy Dunne, Sam MacCallum  and Jordan Archer will be hoping to make their debuts, while Ilias Chair and Jordy De Wijs should also be available following minor injuries.

Daniel James and Scott McTominay are in contention for a runout after joining up with the squad this week, although the likes of Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba and new signing Jadon Sancho are still on holiday following their involvement in Euro 2020.

QPR vs Manchester United preview

While James and McTominay will add more depth to the attacking and midfield options, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still short of defensive cover at this stage.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the only available member of the back five likely to make the starting line-up come the beginning of the season, with young centre-back Teden Mengi likely to start in the middle of defence alongside Axel Tuanzebe in west London.

Although Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata and James should therefore provide plenty of threat for the guests, the Rs will back themselves to have some joy of their own against the inexperienced opposition backline.

QPR vs Manchester United tip & predictions

All in all, odds of 10/11 (1.91) seem generous on both QPR and United getting on target in an entertaining game that features over 2.5 goals here .
