There was a minute’s applause ahead of yesterday’s thrilling All-Ireland Dublin-Kerry semi-final for the late ‘Batman’ Ben Farrell – the brave five-year-old Finglas boy who recently passed away after he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Wilms Tumour last December.
Afterwards, Dublin GAA star Philly McMahon also paid tribute to Farrell on Twitter, with a post of him wearing a Batman t-shirt, in which he added: “The little batman was watching over us! #batmanben”
