Vitinha undergoing medical with PSG
Le Parisien report this morning that Portuguese midfielder Vitinha is currently undergoing his medical ahead of a move from Porto to Paris Saint-Germain, ahead of his arrival on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal, with the club having triggered the former Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee’s release clause of €40m to make him their first signing proper of the summer.
Vitinha made 30 appearances for Porto this past campaign in the league, scoring twice and registering three assists. A deal was struck last week for the Portuguese international, who becomes compatriot Luis Campos’ first signing since his arrival as sporting advisor earlier this month.
He now leaves his formative club for the second time, after an initial spell with Wolves that saw him make 19 Premier League appearances. Vitinha notably won the league and cup double with his club in both the 2019/20 and 2021/22 season, and has been described as the “new Verratti” for PSG, who are looking to rebuild their midfield around the Italian this summer.
