Pakistani Professor Dies In Judicial Custody, Images Of Handcuffed Dead Body Shock People

In a disturbing incident of extra-judicial killing, a picture of a Pakistani professor handcuffed and lying on a stretcher has gone viral, inviting anger from the citizens.

Professor Mian Javed Ahmed from University of Sargodha was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in October this year for “opening illegal campuses and minting millions from students”, reported Dawn.

However, he died in judicial custody on Friday in Lahore district jail. Reportedly, the professor suffered a heart attack following which he was rushed to the Services hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
