Tonight’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, which is The Fallout Show from this past Sunday’s WrestleMania 35 PPV, opens up from The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City as Tom Phillips welcomes us to the show. He is joined by Corey Graves & Byron Saxton.
We go right to the ring and out comes The New Day (New WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods). This is the championship celebration for Kofi Kingston and it is hosted by Big E & Xavier Woods and the ring is dressed up for it. Tom says that Kofi’s family are at ringside. We see stills from Kofi’s WrestleMania 35 win over Daniel Bryan.
The music stops and ”You deserve it!” chants rain down as Big E & Xavier Woods encourage and congratulate Kofi. Big E gets on the mic and talks about how Kofi made The WWE Universe cry tears of joy, is an A+ player with extra credit and broke his foot off between Daniel Bryan’s vegan butt cheeks to become The New WWE Champion. Woods then formally introduces them and Big E picks back up to recap their appearance on RAW last night.
This ends up being an excuse to cajole Big E to do the splits again and he does, before getting back on track and talking about how Kingston was on track to become a double champion. But we have been with them for this whole ride and put up with their humor and so we are all here to celebrate Kofi Kingston’s career together.
Xavier talks about meeting Kofi and it was like meeting one of his heroes and Big E adds that they came together to reshape the culture and change history and that is exactly what happened on Sunday. Woods then says that on behalf of them and every single person in The WWE Universe, we love on and congratulate you, Kofi. Kofi then gets on the mic and says that this is an impossible moment.
Kofi then says that it wasn’t in the script, it wasn’t supposed to happen, but here we are and he has to give a very special shoutout to his family, who are in the front row. Kofi then introduces his sons and his wife and says that they inspire him to be the best he can be and they have supported him unconditionally and he loves them so much.
The Bar interrupts and makes their entrance.
Cesaro says that if it wasn’t for them, Seth Rollins would have Kofi’s title and Sheamus tells the crowd to shut up so The New Day can hear and explains that he nearly lost not because he’s a B+ player, but because New Day weren’t there. Cesaro then wants to have a six-man tag, to which Big E says sure, fine, but there is only two of them. The Bar then says that their math isn’t off, because they met a friend on RAW. None other that Drew McIntyre.

Joe grabs his U.S. Title belt and heads to the back while Braun yells at him from the ring. Braun goes to leave and is interrupted by The IIconics, who wants to shake his hand. Strowman leaves without doing so.

Back from the commercial break and Shane McMahon is in the ring with his Best in The World trophy.
He says that it has been an amazing week and that it will continue next week with The Superstar Shake-Up, but he wants to reflect on WrestleMania. Shane then says that there were huge moments – champions crowned and so on, but why did millions of people around the world tune in? Because they all wanted to see one match specifically. They wanted to see Shane McMahon defeat The Miz. And now he wants to talk about Mr. Miz.
Shane then says that we all saw it when he had the audacity to come in the ring and aggressively put his hands up and McMahon was like “wow this guy’s serious”, and then Mr. Miz hit him in the eye, so he had to defend himself and that’s why he put George in the ground. As far as he’s concerned that 68-year-old baked potato face and his son got what they had coming to them.
Shane then says that they found out that he is what he says he is, and that is The Best in The World. “CM Punk!” chants go up as Shane addresses Greg Hamilton about his intro and he feels like he got kinda stuck and he wants to know what’s going on tonight. Hamilton then says that when he got to the arena he was threatened by several fans that if he gave him his intro something bad would happen.
McMahon then says that he has to understand this is the best city in the world, and why? Because The Best in The World lives here and Greg never has to worry about these people, he has to worry about the one standing right in front of him. Shane then grabs him by the tie and berates him. Hamilton’s intro isn’t good enough for him yet again and Shane drags him away by his tie, telling him that he is choking and insisting he do it over and over but it’s still not good enough.
Shane then says that this is his last chance and finally Shane is happy with his performance, letting him get back to his work.

Some fans chant “you can’t wrestle!” at Lars as he looks over The Hardys and exits the ring. We go to replays as Lars’ music hits.
