Mustangs to host back-to-back NSIC duals
MARSHALL, Minn.- Southwest Minnesota State returns to its NSIC schedule this weekend with back-to-back duals against U-Mary and Minot State on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Last Time Out:
- SMSU went 1-1 last week, with the largest win under Head Coach, Jesse Nelson in a 54-0 win over DWU followed by a 25-13 road loss at Upper Iowa
- The Mustangs’ win over DWU was the first time SMSU had shutout an opponent since defeating Minot State, 40-0 back in 2013-14
- The win over DWU was the first time SMSU had put up 50 points in a match since defeating St. Thomas 50-3 back in 2000
- SMSU took advantage of three wins by forfeit against DWU

- Cortez Arredondo (15-6) went 2-0 for SMSU wrestling at 157 with a 13-5 major decision vs DWU and a 2-1 decision at UIU
- Fingalsen and Hennen also went 2-0 on the weekend with wins by decision at UIU to follow their respective wins by fall vs DWU
