Former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham and her husband, soccer legend, David Beckham, have never been a couple to do anything by halves. Take their his and hers matching wedding looks from their July 4, 1999 nuptials, they were memorable to say the least.
The couple’s annual wedding anniversary celebrations are another case in point. Each year, the couple share details of anniversary dates so dreamy and once-in-a-lifetime they feel either straight out of a rom-com script or a fairytale. Either way, the Beckhams are #couplegoals forever.

But, after their 2018 anniversary dinner which reportedly included a jaunt to Paris to dine on a multi-course meal and drink a reportedly $14,000 bottle of wine, it seemed the couple had reached peak Beckham, where could they possibly from there?
The answer is, of course, on a private tour of a palace. Both Mr and Mrs Beckham took to their respective Instagram accounts to share that for their 20th wedding anniversary, instead of the traditional 20-year wedding anniversary gift of platinum, they enjoyed a private tour of the Palace of Versailles. Who needs a new set of earrings when you can visit a palace made largely of gold?
On Victoria’s Instagram account, the fashion designer captioned a post of herself in cream with a besuited David at the Temple de l’Amour (translation: “temple of love”) in the grounds of Versailles on their private tour as a “dream come true!!”. She also added a note in French, writing “Nous avons eu le privilège de vivre un moment magique au Château de Versailles,” which Hello! reports translates to “We had the privilege of experiencing a magical moment at the Palace of Versailles.”
The designer posted a second time about their incredible anniversary date, sharing a video montage from the day featuring photos of them in the famed Hall of Mirrors and also enjoying a celebratory drink, with the sweet caption: “The most incredible visit on a very special day. Thank u to everyone who made it so memorable and all our family and friends for always supporting us as a family. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years! So many kisses xxx VB”.
The Mirror reports after their romantic tour the couple then headed back to Paris to dine on a seven-course meal at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Guy Savoy. From Paris with love indeed.
