Dolph Ziggler Re-Signs with WWE, Hulk Hogan Wants to Return Soon
Dolph Ziggler has been wrestling for WWE for several years now, and he has accomplished a lot during his tenure with the company. He recently held the United States Championship, and has also won the Money in the Bank briefcase in the past, as well as the World Heavyweight Championship. Ziggler first appeared on WWE television back in 2005 and he has continued to wrestle for the company ever since, thus making him one of the longest-tenured performers on the current roster. Just in case his recent departure storyline confused any fans, those fans should know that it now looks like Dolph Ziggler will continue to compete for WWE for several more years to come.
After surrendering the United States Championship, and after rumors that his contract was about to expire began to circulate, it looked as though Ziggler’s time in the company was about to come to an end. However, during independent wrestler Bin “The Hacker” Hamin’s recent The Locker Room podcast, that WWE has convinced Ziggler to stick around after offering him a new contract. The new deal will reportedly last for two more years. Additionally, the contract is said to be worth a ton of money and it also reportedly contains a clause which will allow him continue his standup comedy career and take on other projects outside of the company. WWE confirmed earlier this week that Ziggler will return to Smackdown this Tuesday night.
One individual who still remains absent from most of the current WWE programming is Hulk Hogan. The company fired Hogan and quickly disassociated themselves from him after racial comments made by him were discovered within his leaked sex tape. While several fans are hopeful that he will be able to return to WWE someday, the company has refused to do business with “the Hulkster” ever since the controversy first broke. While speaking with TMZ recently, Hogan admitted that he would love to return to WWE again at some point. “For me, I’d love to change that last story that was told with the Hulk Hogan career. I’d love to get back in the fold, get back on the inside and correct a lot of stuff. It has to be the perfect timing for both sides. We’re all on good terms. We’re all working towards the same goal. So hopefully, I’ll be able to be back with my wrestling family some day soon.” Hogan said. It looks like a potential Hulk Hogan return is entirely up to WWE at this point.
