Tommy Hilfiger is bringing his runway event back to New York City. The designer will showcase his TommyNow ‘see now, buy now’ fashion concept at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem on September 8, during New York Fashion Week. The show will feature the second Tommy x Zendaya collection co-designed by Hilfiger and global brand ambassador, Zendaya, who was reportedly influential in deciding the location of the fashion presentation. “Zendaya’s desire to bring TommyNow to Harlem felt like an amazing next step in expressing her vision for the future.” Hilfiger said in a statement. “Her statement-making point of view in everything she does is what makes her such an inspiring collaborator – it is honour to continue to provide her with a platform in the fashion industry to share this.” The brand is said to continue its celebration of inclusivity, diversity and empowerment with the new collection. Hilfiger aims to have the collection available to audiences both onsite and virtually. [ inbox]
