Before that, Watson worked for the pro-Clinton super PAC “Ready for Hillary.” In her new role, she’ll continue work on the party’s anti-Trump “war room.”  Michael Tyler, another Perez alum, will serve as the committee’s spokesman, and Hinojosa’s DNC predecessor, John Neffinger, will continue to serve as a senior adviser to help with special projects. “The DNC must do a better job of communicating our message and be a meaningful partner with organizations, candidates and state parties in all 50 states and territories,” Perez said in a statement.  “We have a lot of work to do, but we’re ready to take on this challenge as we continue to build a strong, diverse team.” Perez, who won the chairmanship in late February, has been rebuilding the committee following the resignation of former DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.) in the summer of 2016. As part of that task, he’s reevaluating the structure and staffing of the current national party and working with an advisory committee and Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison to shape the party’s direction moving forward.
