Abyss' WWE Role & In-Ring Return, Cost Of Daniel Bryan's Custom Title

– As noted, Abyss is scheduled to start in a backstage role with WWE in the near future. The Impact Wrestling Hall Of Famer, who recently parted ways with the promotion, is also advertised to return to the ring at the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) television tapings on Wednesday. Abyss is likely working the taping to drop the OVW Heavyweight Championship before officially starting his job with WWE.

– WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has recently been outspoken about his desire to change the leather strap that is currently on the WWE Championship belt to something “sustainable.” In keeping with that subject, Forbes.com recently published a feature article where Alfred Konuwa spoke with some of the leading championship belt designers about the cost of such a change. Dan Van Alst of “Belts By Dan” estimated that Bryan’s current WWE Championship belt costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,000, while the leather-free version he is seeking would run approximately $6,000.
