Having already been spotted on a number of dates—they even pencilled in three in a single week at one stage—Hadid and Cameron’s potential as our next favourite celebrity couple is already growing at an exponential rate, and our certainty around the romantic relationship status is becoming increasingly solid.

Tyler stood by Gigi’s side at her grandmother’s funeral

While most wouldn’t lean on a new relationship in times of grief, considering the acceleration that celebrity romances seem to experience, we weren’t entirely shocked to learn that Cameron was there to console Hadid after the passing of her maternal grandmother.

As reported by People, Tyler travelled all the way to the Netherlands with Gigi to attend Yolanda Hadid’s mother’s funeral. Spotted arm-in-arm, the pair certainly seemed like they were ready to transmit their official status to onlookers everywhere, keeping cosy as they stepped out with sister Bella, brother Anwar and his new girlfriend, singer Dua Lipa.

For any other regular person on this planet, new follows on Instagram typically go undetected. But as we’ve learned, the same rules don’t apply in the sphere of the famous. With eyes firmly planted on every social media move that celebrities make, new inter-celebrity follows rarely go unnoticed, with many taking these follows to be a pre-cursor to a very high profile slide into DMs—the exact suspected method that Hadid and Cameron reported first used to link up.

But while we can’t draw the same conclusions for the following of Tyler by Gigi’s equally-notable sibling, Bella—a cyber step that we certainly picked up on, with many taking screenshots of the new follow—this move suggests that she approved of her model sister’s potential new relationship with Cameron.

Tyler has met a major member of Gigi’s squad

After attempting to keep their budding romance fairly under wraps—although some may argue they somewhat unsuccessful—Hadid reached a point where she was comfortable to introduce Cameron to a key member of her girl gang.

Linking up with Gigi at a VMAs after-party she attended with sister Bella and Taylor Swift, Cameron received a reportedly warm welcome from the Lover singer: “Taylor greeted him with a big hug,” an witness told E! News, adding that, “Gigi’s friends seem very familiar with Tyler and comfortable around him.”

Gigi and Tyler have already had their first mini-break

In their period of regularly scheduled dates, Hadid and her former-model beau marked their first official mini-break as a couple with a trip to upstate New York—an arguably major relationship milestone.

Keeping the trip casual, the pair were spotted at a Starbucks en route to their final destination with “two or three girls”, which may mean that the trip may have been more of a low-key group getaway. But surrounded by a bunch of friends, or not, if Hadid was prepared for Cameron to see her in her first-thing-in-the-morning state, we’d say it’s safe to assume that they were already well on their way to couple status—that and the fact that the getaway was reportedly their third date that very same week, we’re just saying…
