Behind the Shutter: Ivor Prickett on photographing the liberation of Mosul
Photographer Ivor Prickett has been covering the fight to defeat Isil in Iraq and Syria for over a year.
His body of work titled ‘The Battle For Mosul’ has earned him a double nomination for the World Press Photo of the Year award. He is also shortlisted in the General News – Stories category.
Working exclusively for the The New York Times, Prickett began covering the Iraqi army offensive in 2016 and went back to report from the beleaguered Iraqi city as recently as February.
He talked to The Telegraph about his experience covering the conflict.
