Every now and again, a luxury fashion house gets to work creating its own left-of-field, collectable item offering (read: $14,000 fishing rods and logo-embellished basketballs.) And with their release, our limited edition-loving hearts cause us to instinctively open our wallets to thrust our hard-earned cash toward said release. What’s caught our niche designer item radar this time? Burberry. The British fashion house is taking its Peter Saville-designed monogram and printing it all over outerwear—but this time, for your favourite furry companion.

Dropping just days ago, Burberry released the Thomas Burberry Monogram dog hoodie as part of its most recent monthly B Series drop, designed by Riccardo Tisci.

Printed in Burberry’s ‘Bridle brown’—a shade sure to suit each and every one of your beloved pets’ fur tones—the hoodie is topped off with a folded collar and ribbed, red-stripped trims, and is available in sizes small to large, leaving no designer-loving dog behind.

Retailing for $320, many of the aforementioned collectable obsessives (particularly those who are canine-inclined) would argue that it’s a small price to pay for a staple fashion item. And if your thirst for designer pet wares hasn’t quite been satiated, you’ll be glad to know the canine-centric collection doesn’t end there. Also on offer? Burberry again took the Thomas Burberry-inspired monogram and adorned a dog collar in it, topping it off with trench-inspired D-rings and a gold-toned charm engraved with the house’s capitalised logo. And of course, if you’re dropping a dog collar, it is only good form that you release a leash to match, with the designer dog walking essential also given the logo print treatment along with identical D-ring and gold finishes.

This pet-friendly venture, as well as the fresh B series drop, comes as the brand’s ready-to-wear autumn/winter ‘19/‘20 campaign is revealed, which too heroes the graphic monogram as well as nods to classic British style. The autumn/winter ‘19/‘20 campaign showcases the clothes we saw on the runway back in February, including shearling, Scottish-woven scarf details, and the ever-popular pea coat. Even the quintessentially Brit rugby, polo and soccer jersey each got a shout out in the form of shirt dresses.

As for the dog collar and leash? You can add each to cart for $380 and $460 respectively, and do it all in good conscience considering both items are made in the label’s environmentally-friendly ‘e-canvas’ which is made primarily with renewable resources and minus the excess water used and CO2 traditionally generated by producing coated canvas.

Again, the pet-friendly collection will only be available for a limited time—so to you and your furry companions we say run, don’t walk.
