Chelsea close to signing Papy Djilobodji

Chelsea have entered into negotiations with FC Nantes over the transfer of Papy Djilobodji.

The Senegalese central defender had been set to move to Trabzonspor for around €2.5m, but Gianluca di Marzio insists that CFC are now close to signing the player.

A shock move, but not necessarily a bad one for either party.

According to our reliable colleagues at 20 Minutes, Papy Djilobodji is currently undergoing a medical with Chelsea. The contract and fee details are so far unknown.
