ECW Main Event Announced, WWE Rejects Benoit Estate Offer, RAW Notes

– Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that tomorrow night’s ECW on Sci-Fi will be headlined by ECW Champion CM Punk vs. U.S. Champion MVP. They are billing it as a “champion vs. champion” match.

– As of the time of this writing there have been no matches announced for tonight’s edition of RAW. RAW will air live tonight from the HBC Arena in Buffalo, New York as the official preview teases the fallout from Armageddon.

– The Miami Herald is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has rejected a deal offered by the estate of Chris Benoit. According to the report, WWE refused to pay $2 million to Benoit’s two surviving children from a previous marriage as ”recognition of their father’s contributions to the company,” according to Chris Benoit’s father, Michael Benoit’s attorney Cary Ichter. The publication noted that this could have set the stage for a “potentially nasty and protracted legal battle.”
