Everything new coming to Ikea in October
As our favourite place for affordable design, Ikea knows the way to our hearts. Whether it’s through the classic Kallax shelves or Malm’s iconic drawers, the Swedish design behemoth is famous for practical solutions for the everyday. And with an impressive design and collaboration history, which recently included names like Tom Dixon and Virgil Abloh, there’s some serious credit to be given when it comes to pioneering innovative, accessible design by some of the industry’s biggest names.
As they do every few months, Ikea has released its newest additions for spring. For the latest product launch, set to hit stores in October, the furniture giant has announced releases for everything from shower curtains to kids toys and handcrafted pottery. Complete with a slew of new patterns, shapes and materials, the launches are a look at what’s to come for Ikea. And if the photos are anything to go by, it’s seriously chic.
Featuring a range of new prints, many with floral-leaning patterns, Ikea has embraced new season colourways which include deep navy blues, bright reds and blush pinks. For homewares, a focus on traditional blues and pastel pinks reign supreme, with a textural, homemade feel that evokes artisan styles and treasures picked up on travels. So while we may not be able to make it to the Greek Islands anytime soon, the new Godtagbar range of pottery will certainly help chase the summery feeling into our interiors.
