‘EVMs Are Foolproof,’ Election Commissioner Asks Parties Not To Use It As ‘Football’

The Electronic Voting Machines remain in controversy for one reason or the other and now with elections approaching, the EVMS are bound to be in centre of ire from opposition. Now, the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Friday asked parties not to treat EVM like “football” and said the machine is foolproof.

“It is not possible to manipulate the EVMs. It is definitely foolproof as far as apprehensions of conspiracy and manipulation are concerned. But technical snags are possible as in case of any other device,” he said.
