Franco Smith: Glasgow Warriors boss wants more from his players against Edinburgh
Glasgow Warriors head coach Franco Smith wants more from his players when they take on Edinburgh in the second leg of the 1872 Cup at Murrayfield on Friday night.
After last weekend’s 16-10 triumph over Edinburgh in the first leg at Scotstoun, Smith has made just two alterations to his starting line-up for this weekend’s encounter.
Scrum-half Ali Price and full-back Ollie Smith are the new faces in the run-on side, replacing George Horne and Josh McKay, respectively, while Smith has retained the same pack of forwards for the clash against their arch-rivals.
Despite his side’s victory in the first leg, Smith knows the Warriors will have to do it all again on Friday.
Not resting on their laurels
“Last weekend was an important win for us, but we know that the job is still only half done,” he said.

“We were impressed with the professionalism of our squad in getting the result at Scotstoun last Friday.
“We know there is more to come from this group, though, and that has been the challenge we’ve put to the players this week.
“The onus is on ourselves – we want to go out and deliver the performance of which we know we are capable.”
