The motoring industry is in a state of change. Cars are getting safer, smarter and more sustainable – and rightfully so. Swedish luxury car brand Volvo is undeniably leading the way in all of these areas, including in the arena of style. One of Volvo’s brand values is “omtanke”, which translates to “care and consideration,” a concept that sums up its approach to design. Volvo, and in particular, the brand’s XC60 model, has plenty of thoughtful style elements that take its cars to the next level. Why shouldn’t your car fit your personal style too?

Strong by design

The fashion-forward design elements begin with the exterior of Volvo’s XC60. This model is defined by uncluttered lines, which perfectly balance the stronger design aspects of the SUV, like the large wheels, pronounced wheel arches and integrated roof rails. It’s undeniably an SUV in space and character but the XC60 is incredibly discreet meaning it fits right into your life and your personal style too.

Scandinavian style

Scandinavian style is having a moment in fashion and interiors and Volvo is leading the way in the motoring industry. The brand has a strong Swedish heritage and that sense of Scandinavian luxury is apparent throughout the interior of the XC60. From the sleek centre touch screen to the unique air vents and metal-finished controls, the car is inherently modern. Matching the current trends in fashion and decor, Volvo has imbued contemporary finishes with an inscription trim decor in driftwood, a nod to minimalist Scandinavian design. Take it from brand ambassador Tash Sefton, who as a stylist, feels that the Volvo fits perfectly with her style. “The interior colour palette and the inclusion of beautiful quality finishes such as timber and steel really suits my aesthetic,” she told Vogue. This, combined with safety features like the integrated booster seat, is the reason many families opt for Volvo.

Technology revolution

The Volvo XC60 continues the brand’s powerful leap into technology with features that fit your fast-paced life. With an integrated Spotify app and Apple CarPlay, you can link an Apple iPhone as well as Android Auto. A feature called Sensus will also allow other apps to work, for instance, the audiobook app, so you can listen to your favourite stories on long drives. For Tash Sefton, that makes it a safer driving experience, too. “Voice activated messaging, a large screen which allows me to access satellite navigation, music and the car’s features without having to take my eyes off the road,” she told Vogue.

If your life has a sense of “omtanke” to it, it’s time to ensure your car does too. With Volvo, you can be sure it will.
