Increase pre-registrations for Margin London
This February, independent trade event Margin London opens its 16th edition. The pre-registrations are in place and include key department stores such as Selfridges, Harrods, and House of Fraser, independents like Microzine, Lunacy & American Retro, and players including ASOS and Top Shop. Margin is planning to welcome many international buyers with an increase in pre-registrations from overseas stores including Fabulous, DC4, & Market from Germany; Coolhunter, El Corte Ingles, & Miyuki from Spain; and Beams, Ships & Baycrews from Japan to name a few. Since Margin first launched in 2002, the upscale streetwear and directional tailoring exhibition has continued its mission to provide an affordable platform for new and young designers to meet with buyers and press.
“Pre-registrations are up this week almost 40% compared to last February which is fantastic”, said Margin organiser Odysseas Constantine, “especially when buyers know they don’t have to pre-register and can just visit Margin with their business card and I.D. for the front desk. Perhaps buyers haven’t found anything exciting elsewhere yet and are realising they can’t afford to miss out on discovering new brands in London that can add a real point of difference to the competition on the High Street and drive profit in the right direction.”

Established amongst retailers as a credible show with an underground vibe, Margin is known as the prime exhibition to discover new and young brands. With major construction and restoration work taking place at the previous venue, for the February 2009 edition Margin is moving to Mayfair and the white minimalist gallery space of The Music Rooms. For February 2009, Spanish label Loreak Mendian return to exhibit their range of upscale streetwear for men and women and will be installing their art in the main room at Margin. Margin is also welcoming back Conquer who launched at Margin for their first season in August 2008 and will be displaying their unique art pieces in the Magazine Media Lounge.
The 16th edition of Margin London is on the 8th & 9th February 2009 and will be open from 10am until 6pm on both days. Margin is open to buyers, press, and multi-label agencies and distributors.
