Inside Max Mara’s 2019 Women in Film Gala
This year, Max Mara continues its legacy of inspiring confidence in women through fashion, craftsmanship, and art, as an avid sponsor of Women in Film, an organisation that advocates for gender equity on the silver screen. Enter: the Women in Film Gala, a product of the partnership between Women in Film and the Italian fashion house.
During the course of the 17th anniversary event, the recipient of the Max Mara Face of the Future Award, presented to breakthrough actresses making strides in their communities since as early as 2006, was awarded to Elizabeth Debicki (above). The Australian actress has starred in films including The Night Manager, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, and The Great Gatsby.
The event, held at the chic Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, saw a variety of stars make an appearance. Riverdale actresses Madelaine Petsch and Camila Mendes walked the red carpet, Petsch’s one-shoulder top and skirt ensemble the perfect contrast to Mendes’s long-sleeved burgundy midi-dress. Baywatch star Alexandria Daddario looked ethereal in a sheer white number, complimented by a Grecian-style updo and a bold red lip, and model Olivia Culpo turned heads in a beige suit, finished off with saddle-brown heels. Debicki herself wore a stunning green blouse tucked into a pair of white high-waisted trousers.
There was seemingly no end to the star-studded guestlist, with the likes of actress Olivia Wilde, model Jessica Gomes, and fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni also in attendance. For more, scroll on to see inside the annual gala, and what your favourite celebrities wore, below.
