On Thursday October 17, the very first day of Vogue Festival 2019, Vogue Australia celebrated its 60th birthday at Sean’s Kitchen inside Adelaide Casino—the same location that later hosted the inaugural GQ Supper Club—with the highly-anticipated Vogue Kitchen Lunch, hosted by editor-in-chief Edwina McCann and esteemed head chef, Sean Connolly.

Serving a three-course meal complemented by wine from the event’s official wine partner, Seppeltsfield Barossa, the Vogue Kitchen Lunch invited a well-dressed group of guests to celebrate the publication’s milestone anniversary and the launch of Adelaide’s third Vogue Festival, presented by Vogue Australia in partnership with Rundle Mall, the City of Adelaide and the South Australian Tourism Commission.

Throughout the course of the lunch, editor-in-chief Edwina McCann took to the stage to talk all things fashion and food with The Australian’s fashion editor, Glynis Traill-Nash, and for those who joined the Vogue team in celebrating, goodie bags jam-packed with must-have gifts were handed out.

In addition to the lunch, Vogue Festival—which brought GQ Australia on board to take part in the festivities—proved to be the annual event’s biggest and best yet, boasting fashion parades, live music, pop-up stores, exclusive street parties, in-store activations and mall-wide discounts from over 150 stores.
