Fashion designer Cydney Morris and her partner Ollie Edwards met on Venice Beach California, while Ollie was travelling from Australia for a work trip. “He was tall and had piercing blue eyes. I remember having this really strange feeling in my body that night after chatting with him casually across the table,” Morris told . “He went back to Australia and then came back four months later to live in California. It only took us one Coachella weekend to realise that he was everything I was looking for. I remember after our first date, we sat leg and leg intertwined talking all night and I just knew.”

Not long after there was a relaxed proposal which came as a complete surprise. “He lied to me and said he got a free room at the Surfrider in Malibu for our anniversary in trade for a few umbrellas, so we had to go on this certain night. We packed our bags for a mini staycation and headed up the coast,” Morris says. “Sometimes we love to reflect on the best moments in the last year or what we learned to love about each other and our favorite times together. Then, in an unforgettable but very common moment Ollie asked for Cydneys hand. “After chatting about all of the amazing things, it lead into a “and that’s why I want to marry you Cyd.” His shaking hand brought out my custom designed very sparkly ring,” Morris told .

The couple chose to wed at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel with the 180 degree view on the Sydney skyline and the gorgeous backdrop of the water. Ollie made a huge commitment to move to America, Cydney only felt it was rational to host the wedding in Australia and show all their family and friends where Ollie was from. “I thought this would a special way to show him how much I love him,” Morris says.

With the perfect location, came the perfect styling and decorations. Not only a fashion designer, Cydney also enjoys party planning with her other business ‘The Foxalow.’ With much inspiration and experience, Cydney had always envisioned her wedding day with Pinterest and vision boards, which consisted of lots of overgrown flowers, and dripping candles with a coast and garden party theme. “I wanted it to feel intimate with so many candles, romance and a dance floor filled with disco balls,” Morris added. But the designer’s favourite styling detail was the mini Casamigos tequila bottles which scattered around the tables. “I really loved the love poems I had placed on each of the mini Casamigos bottles. They were from Pablo Neruda Shakespeare to Joni Mitchell lyrics.” Though the wedding came with difficulties of planning everything from across the globe in LA, fortunately, all went to plan.

Being a fashion designer, Morris found looking and designing the perfect dress difficult but more so challenging. “The dress was hard for me because I am a designer and I put so much pressure on myself to come up with something amazing,” Morris told . “I knew I wanted to look timeless and unique, but also cool and fresh. I lost so much sleep thinking about it!” The fashion designer put a lot of thought in to what inspires her and then her ideas started to spring. “I was hanging out with Laura from Brock Collection one weekend and we just started talking about designs and magic, and three months before the wedding we started draping and came up with the dress. It accentuated all the things I wanted!” Morris said in excitement. The perfect dress was in the works!

Cydney remarks the most memorable and special part of the day was looking and seeing Ollie’s face in awe as she walked down the aisle. “I didn’t know he would be so emotional, but as soon as he saw me he had the biggest tears in his eyes, all from pure love.” As well as being in the arms of her father as the song was delicately sung in the background – that was the cherry on top. “It was just the most amazing moment,” Morris said.

Bridesmaids and the bride slipped into Stone Cold Fox silk robes for the wedding prep.

“I wanted my make-up to be very natural with a healthy fresh glow,” says Cydney.

“I felt so calm and relaxed surrounded by my best friends and family.”

“We got the Bridal Suite at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel and it was filled with flowers and a big breakfast. We all slipped into Stone Cold Fox floral printed silk robes that I gifted everyone.”

“I found my Victorian veil way before the dress and just knew they would pair so well together.”

“I wanted the girls to look angelic, all different, but themselves.”

“My entire wedding dress code was shades of white for women.”

“It was also a great way to show Stone Cold Fox’s latest bridal collection on real women.”

“My dress and veil were so unique.”

Just married!

The bride’s Victorian-style veil matched her dress.

Bridget Bardot was a style inspiration for Cydney on her big day.

“I wore a pair of vintage gold Chanel earrings with a pearl drop. I also had a custom intricate diamond choker necklace made from Aprés Jewelry.”

Make-up was by Joanna Luhrs.

The bride also wore a ring belonging to her mother.

“I wore pointed toe white slingback Manolo Blahniks with a diamond on the front. I’ve had my eye on those shoes for along time, they’re classic, fun and went perfectly with my second dress.”

“I knew it would be the greatest day of my life, but having every single person I love so dearly in one room was the most intense, amazing feelings – you can’t really describe it.”

The newlyweds share a kiss at their reception.

“I would advise to write your own vows. It was magical!”

“I changed midway through the night into a short lace Stone Cold Fox high neck dress with vintage diamond buttons and a high slit. It was such a fun dress to dance in!”

Cydney’s advice to other couples ahead of their wedding? “Just be calm and actually enjoy the day. Things are going to go wrong, but there is nothing you can do about it. You can’t get that day back, so have fun, let loose and enjoy everything you worked so hard on.”Click Here: Sports Water Bottles
