Kerala Becomes 1st State To Extend Maternity Benefits To Pvt Education Sector, Women Employees Get 26 Weeks Paid Leaves

In a significant move that could benefit thousands of teachers and other employees in the private education institutions, Kerala has decided to implement maternity benefits to the sector.

The Central Government has approved the Kerala Government’s decision to bring these teachers and employees under the Maternity Benefit Act.
