Match Listing For Friday's SmackDown, New WWE Signing, JBL Visiting OVW

— The following matches will be airing during tomorrow night’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown:

– Great Khali and Finlay vs. Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

– Jesse and Festus vs. The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel Jackson.

– Vladimir Kozlov vs. Hurricane Helms.

– Kizarny vs. MVP.

– Edge and Big Show vs. Matt and Jeff Hardy.

— Ohio Valley Wrestling recently put out a press release announcing the signing of four wrestlers to WWE’s developmental program. As reported earlier, they are Chris Cage, Ryan Reeves, and Gavin Garrison. The press release notes one other wrestler, whose name went unreported. The fourth wrestler’s name is Brian Jossie — who we do not have any info on at the moment.

WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis paid a visit to Ohio Valley Wrestling on September 22nd for a tryout and evaluation session, and those four wrestlers nabbed developmental contracts with WWE. OVW also scouted the likes of Sojourner Bolt (who soon managed to nab a contract with TNA), JD Michaels, Serena, and Anthony Bravado, but they were not signed to contracts for reasons unknown.

OVW has a wrestling school, and for people looking to get into WWE, their school is probably the best way to go. The press release notes: “OVW will continue to supply the future of WWE, and professional wrestling as a whole, with talent that is trained at a level which can be achieved nowhere else in the world. John Laurinaitis put it best when he expressed that OVW is still the place to be if you desire an education in the art and the sport of professional wrestling.”
