Multiple Title Matches Announced For ROH NJPW G1 Supercard

We are just a couple of weeks away from Ring Of Honor & New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest show of the year, possibly even the biggest show of both their promotions, G1 Supercard, as it will be taking place from Madison Square Garden in New York City. The collaboration between both promotions has been months in the making. One of the featured title matches will see IWGP Heavyweight Champion “Switchblade” Jay White defend his IWGP Heavyweight Title against New Japan Cup Tournament Winner “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada. The ROH World Title will also be on the line as ROH World Champion Jay Lethal will be defending his title in a Ladder Match against Matt Taven & “The Villain” Marty Scurll.

The entire main card was recently announced, with a total of eight titles matches to be featured on the show. Zack Sabre Jr. is set to defend his RPW British Heavyweight Title against Hiroshi Tanahashi while Tetsuya Naito will be defending his IWGP Intercontinental Title against Kota Ibushi. Also announced is Mayu Iwatani defending her ROH Women Of Honor World Title in a rematch against former champion Kelly Klein. Jyushin “Thunder” Liger has also been confirmed for The Honor Rumble.

One match has been changed drastically as The Titles vs. Titles Match between IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Guerrillas Of Destiny & ROH World Tag Team Champions  Villain Enterprises will now be a Fatal 4-Way Match. The Briscoes & Los Ingobernables de Japon have been added to the match for both The IWGP & Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Titles.
