Nia Jax Set To Undergo Double Knee Surgery To Repair Nagging Injuries
In a week that has already taken down several WWE Superstars, Nia Jax has now announced that she will be “out of action for a little while” due to an upcoming surgery to repair both of her ACLs.
The former Raw Women’s Champion posted the following statement on Twitter:
“Some of you may or may not know, but I will be out of action for a little while. Unfortunately, I have ben pushing through some pain over the last year due to injuries in my knees and I will be undergoing surgery to repair both of my ACLs. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me! Thank you!”
Pro Wrestling Sheet actually reported on Nia’s injury before she made it official on social media, claiming that she is dealing with “ACL tears in both of her knees”.
While torn ACLs are one of the more common injuries in pro wrestling, the timetable for return is still significant and varies from person to person. The estimate is usually 6-9 months depending on the severity and how the surgery goes. A double tear may take more time to heal, as it stands to reason that the rehab may be more tricky.
Nia Jax is just the latest in a frustratingly long string of injuries that have seemingly popped out of the woodwork in recent weeks. Rey Mysterio went into WrestleMania dealing with an injury and ended up having a 60-second match with Samoa Joe.

AJ Styles was injured during his match with Randy Orton and was not backstage at Smackdown Live this week. Daniel Bryan was also sent home after WrestleMania and is dealing with some kind of undisclosed issue. Now you can add Nia, and Big E, who screwed up his meniscus on Tuesday night in a tag team match against The Bar and Drew McIntyre.
