Odsonne Edouard nearly joined AS Monaco this summer

As reported by L’Équipe, 21-year-old French attacker and Celtic man Odsonne Edouard nearly joined AS Monaco this summer.

The ex-PSG youth prospect scored 22 goals and provided 8 assists last season, attracting the Principality side to enter into negotiations in June with the player to convince him to join ASM.

The French youth international was convinced about making the move, the length of a provisional contract had been agreed. Negotiations were advancing, but all of a sudden and without explanation, the Principality side cut talks off.
