Official | Troyes sign defender Thierno Baldé from PSG
Troyes have this afternoon announced the signing of young defender Thierno Baldé from Paris Saint-Germain, signing with the Eastern side on a five-year deal, becoming their seventh signing of the summer.
Baldé makes the step up to Ligue 1 action – as initially reported by Le Parisien yesterday – having spent the entirety of last season out on loan at Le Havre, making 31 appearances as the team finished in 8th place.
His impressive performances then lead to a France youth team call-up, which saw him take part in Les Bleuet’s successful Maurice Revello (formerly Toulon) tournament campaign at the start of the summer.
He leaves the capital having never appeared for the senior team, although he did feature in the UEFA Youth League as well as the French Youth Cup. This summer, he was training with the reserve team.
The 20-year-old’s contract was expiring with his formative club at the end of the season, and now joins Troyes to reinforce their right-back options.
