PSG identify Jan Vertonghen & Antonio Rüdiger as potential targets

PSG are currently pursuing Jérôme Boateng (Bayern Munich) and Leonardo Bonucci (AC Milan), but have identified another two central defensive targets, according to Le Parisien.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is interested in exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea’s German international defender Antonio Rüdiger, who has another 4 years currently running on his contract with the Premier League side. He fits the versatile defensive profile that the German manager is searching for.

Tuchel wants to be able to play a system with 3 central defenders from time to time in the upcoming campaign.

Another versatile target identified in this position is 31-year-old Belgian international central defender Jan Vertonghen, who the PSG board have considerable interest in. He has 1-year remaining on his current Tottenham contract.

No concrete approaches have yet been made for either player.
