Randy Orton Signs Multi-Year Deal to Stay in WWE

Randy Orton isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

“The Viper” has signed a new long-term contract with WWE that will see him locked down through 2024. The news was first broke by Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com, and it was made official tonight on the debut episode of WWE Backstage on FS1, in a segment that involved Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet.

This is an important deal for WWE as Orton’s contract was set to expire next summer (2020), and given his name value and a strong relationship with Cody Rhodes, there would have almost certainly been interest from All Elite Wrestling.

While we don’t have numbers yet, because of the money coming in from Saudi Arabia and the sudden existence of competition that could theoretically afford to steal him, it’s very likely this is the biggest money deal that Orton has signed with the company yet.
