Ring of Honor’s “The Kingdom” stable has been reduced to just Adam Cole going forward.
Mike Bennett & Maria Kanellis left for TNA and ROH announced Tuesday that Matt Taven will miss about nine months recovering from a major knee injury.
Taven suffered the injury during the ROH Tag Title match at Final Battle on December 18. Almost one month later, Taven underwent surgery to repair a “torn ACL, ruptured lateral meniscus, and torn medial meniscus.”
The original goal was to perform two separate surgeries, but the doctor was able to perform both surgeries in four-and-a-half hours.
“I have never seen a meniscus rupture this bad in my medical career,” said Dr. Andreas Gomoll. It’s totally befuddling to me that he was able to continue the match.”
