Steve-O Wrestling In A High-Profile Match At SummerSlam

It was reported earlier today that Steve O of Jackass fame had posted a message on his MySpace page saying that he and his buddies would be involved with a/the main event at SummerSlam. In his message, he also talked about filming a SummerSlam commercial and his experience backstage at Raw last night.

Dave Meltzer is now reporting that he will be WRESTLING in a main event at SummerSlam. Yes, you read that correctly, he will be wrestling in a main event at the show. In his MySpace message, Steve-O teased that the match was almost called off last night. That is true, but as of today, it’s still on.

Also note, WWE usually has two or three “main events” at the really big shows like WrestleMania or SummerSlam. For instance, the “Battle of the Billionaires” match and the Taker vs. Batista match were considered to be “main events” even though they weren’t the last matches on the card. Whatever Steve-O’s involvement at SummerSlam, one would have to assume that it will be A “main event” and not THE main event.
