This year, the featured brands include Matteau, Hansen & Gretel, The Upside, Pared Eyewear, State of Escape, P Johnson, Mara & Mine, Desmond & Dempsey and Dr Roebuck’s. Beach Collection can be found at 786 Montauk Highway, and will be open until October 14, 2019. [ inbox]

Luxury Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta has opened a new store in Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre. Shoppers will be greeted with a sprawling, minimalist façade framed by grey marble before walking into a spacious and open interior. The boutique’s warm, ivory-hued walls are the perfect backdrop for the brand’s wide range of products. The new store will include products from both its men’s and women’s line, including jewellery, eyewear, and leather goods. If you’re not in the vicinity, don’t worry – you can shop Bottega Veneta on Sydney’s Market Street, as well as on Melbourne’s Collins Street. [ inbox]

In celebration of the joys of the Pride movement and the warm American summer, Michael Kors has now launched its #MKGO Rainbow clothing capsule. The brand’s new collection, which seeks to also commemorate the event of the Stonewall uprising, is focused on spreading a message of inclusivity and diversity. Products, all rendered in vibrant colour, range from a rainbow-quilted bag to a series of sequined dresses. The brand has also designed a custom Pride T-shirt for the capsule. On top of that, the profits from each T-shirt purchased through to December 31 will go towards supporting God’s Love We Deliver, an LGBT non-profit organisation based in New York. [ inbox]

Chanel has invested in sustainable chemistry company Evolved by Nature, a start-up that focuses on providing green alternatives to the toxic chemicals often used in manufacturing textiles. Instead of synthetic chemicals, the company promotes ‘Activated Silk’, which it claims can reduce pilling and also increase the lifespan of fabrics such as polyester and nylon. The news is the latest in an industry-wide move to further eco-conscious fashion and sustainable material practice in order to combat wastefulness and environmental harm. []
