This Tamil Nadu Man Has A Weird Complaint, Want Cops To Trace His Chappals Worth Rs 800

People go to police with requests to trace all kinds of stolen valuables. But a pair of chappals that cost Rs 800? That is exactly what Rajesh Gupta, a native of Rajasthan who runs a hardware store in Parrys’ Corner, asked police to trace saying they were new and had been chosen by his wife.

Gupta told police that he had left his footwear outside a private diagnostics laboratory opposite the Tondiarpet post office on Thiruvottiyur High Road on Sunday when he went in for a blood test. When he returned 10 minutes later, his pair of chappals was missing.
