This Week’s IMPACT Wrestling Viewership Jumps Way Up w/ “Demon’s Dance” Main Event & Multiple Returns
IMPACT Wrestling saw another huge jump in numbers this week, drawing an estimated 381,000 viewers after a very successful weekend in New Orleans. That’s an impressive 29.6% increase over last week, marking the second most watched episode since The Final Deletion in July 2016, and the third most watched episode since the show moved to Pop TV.
It will be interesting to see if the numbers can continue to rise heading into the IMPACT Redemption pay-per-view on 4/22. A big part of this week’s show was advertised around finding out what happened with Alberto el Patron, which they really didn’t explain at all beyond announcing the new triple threat main event between Austin Aries, Pentagon Dark and Rey Fenix. The women headlined this week’s show with a “Demon’s Dance” match between Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary that was quite good. Sami Callihan also faced Moose, and we saw the returns of not only Tommy Dreamer but Scott Steiner.
