This year’s International Woolmark 2019 Prize Advisory Council has been revealed to include Australia fashion director and Wardrobe.NYC co-founder, Christine Centenera, and Australia creative director at large and and editor, Alison Veness. Alongside these two Australians are well-known fashion names that will be selecting this year’s International Woolmark Prize finalists. The 10 finalists will be announced in October 2019 and the winner will be revealed following the global final to be held in early 2020. Millennial fashion brand Reformation has reportedly sold a majority stake of their business to a private equity fund and have plans to expand globally. With 14 locations in the US, Reformation will open its first international location in Canada on July 11, 2019, and shortly after that, another store in London. To honour the late iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, a group of his high-profile friends and muses have come together to create “The White Shirt Project”.
