Video: Owens On Reigns Match Next Week, Clash PPV, Rollins Being A "Failure"

As seen via the above video, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens was Michael Cole’s guest in this week’s sit-down interview.

Early into their discussion, the conversation focused on Owens winning the WWE Universal Championship with an assist from Triple H. Cole asked Owens if he knew ahead of time that Triple H was going to get involved in the Fatal-4-Way match on RAW where the vacant title was up for grabs. Owens said that he didn’t know about Triple H’s involvement ahead of time, but claimed he made the right decision.

From there, Cole asked Owens about Seth Rollins ruining his WWE Universal Championship celebration and getting booked as his first PPV challenger, before also acknowledging that he could end up being one of two Superstars to get the first shot at Owens’ title.

Owens said Rollins has been nothing but a failure since returning from his injury. Regarding possibly having two opponents for his first PPV title defense, Owens claimed Roman Reigns, who faces the Universal Champion for the opportunity to be added to the Owens-Rollins PPV match on RAW next week, won’t be getting his hand raised. He noted that if by some chance Reigns does get his hand raised next Monday night, he won the title by beating Reigns, Rollins and Big Cass in a Fatal-4-Way match, so he’d still have an easier time squaring off with two opponents instead of three.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins (and possibly Roman Reigns) for the WWE Universal Championship headlines the first RAW-brand exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Clash Of Champions, on September 25, 2016.
