When Swarovski conceptualises and creates a line of jewellery, it does so with the modern woman and all her vast and varied needs in mind. Unsurprisingly, the brand’s new Tarot Magic collection is no exception. Here to grant every one of your wishes, the astrology-inspired pieces, complete with symbols, signs, and magical motifs, are styles that are as on-trend as they are dazzling.
While celebrating and encouraging both light and positivity, the new Tarot Magic and Swarovski Symbolic collections are designed to empower and protect its wearer each and every day. As such, it should come as no surprise that the collection can be worn from day to night. To find out exactly how, Vogue’s style content editor Rebecca Shalala gives us glimpse inside her seven-day style diary, while schooling us on how she manages to transition the Tarot Magic collection, along with other new collections from Swarovski, from desk to dinner.

Day one
“I’m often in denim on a shoot day, it’s practical and me at my comfiest,” says Shalala, who explains that when wearing casual attire, “I’ll always wear more jewellery as a result.” Here, the style content editor ups the ante on her pared-back look with a pair of the Tarot Magic collection’s statement-making earrings.

Day two
When off-duty, the style content editor makes the most of the opportunity to mix and match her favourite pieces from the Tarot Magic & Swarovski Symbolic collection. “I’m normally quite layered in what I wear, and I want my jewellery to stand out – so one necklace will not do!” Shalala explains. “I need different lengths, and I am always open to wearing all options at once on my hands, ears and neck.”

Day three
Swapping out one pair of bold earrings for another, Shalala confesses: “I own more statement earrings than any other piece of jewellery.” When quizzed on why, she shares the style serves to complete her outfit – particularly in winter, “when everything else is covered up.”

Day five
“If I have meetings my style becomes a lot more polished and pared-back with a focal piece, whether that’s a necklace or earrings,” says Shalala, who shares you can’t go wrong with the Tarot Magic double-sided pendant, paired with the ever-so-versatile amulet.

Day six
“If I know I have an event straight after work I’ll usually wear a classic black dress during the day that I can then add accessories to at night,” says Vogue’s style content editor. “I wore this dress to work with the bracelet, and then added the Tarot Magic necklace and cocktail ring on my way out to an event.”

Day seven
As though day-to-night weren’t already enough of a transition, Shalala takes Swarovski’s new collection from dinner to drinks. “My love for chandelier earrings started at a young age, my mum has quite a collection of her own,” she shares, swapping her statement-making necklace for a pair of eye-catching earrings.
