WWE To Tape RAW & SD Following Live Shows During Christmas Week

Below are more exclusive notes about WWE’s upcoming live events:

WWE talent will have seven days off over The Christmas holidays this year, having no events from Wednesday, December 19th until the live events in New York & Chicago the following week on Wednesday, December 26th. The company then has live events all the way until December 30th before getting days off again until January 4th for the main roster. Last year, WWE decided to air RAW live on Christmas & New Year’s, which disappointed a lot of the wrestlers and their families.

I don’t believe WWE has publicized these details, but for those of you wondering about WWE RAW on Christmas Eve & WWE SmackDown on Christmas Day – those shows will be aired on tape delay with the taping taking place the week prior. WWE RAW on December 17th in Sacramento will feature both a live RAW as well as a taping for The December 24th Show. WWE SmackDown on December 18th in Fresno will include the live show as well as a SmackDown taping to air on December 25th. In both scenarios, the taping of shows is expected to take place after the live airing so fans attending will get that bonus.

WWE RAW & SmackDown for New Year’s Eve and Day have already been announced as being taped in Detroit on The 28th & Chicago on The 29th, respectively.
