Believe it or not it’s been 18 years since Drew Barrymore stole our hearts and made girls everywhere want to learn karate (that was a thing, right?).

Of course, the aforementioned franchise was just a reboot of the original series but eighteen-ish years in Hollywood time may as well be 100, so we’re set to get a reboot of the reboot and we’re certainly not complaining.

Back in December of 2018, director Elizabeth Banks has give us our first look from the film’s set and we’d be lying if we said it didn’t get us a little prematurely excited ahead of its November 14, 2019 premiere date.

Taking to Instagram to share a photo alongside Charlie’s three angels—read Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska—Banks captioned the image, “That’s a wrap. So much love and gratitude to these Angels #kristenstewart @naomigscott and @ellabalinska @charliesangels #charliesangels #bts #attitudeofgratitude #NextNovember why did I wear such a big hat #smiles #love #femalefilmmakers.”

So what does a Charlie’s Angel 2019 reboot look like? Stewart is here to explain. Talking to Entertainment Tonight, the actress confirmed that the reboot will be far from an impression of it predecessor.

“It is not maybe everyone’s immediate response that it would be, like, something we would have to see again, because the one I grew up with was so much fun,” she admitted, before confirming that “the re-imagining is so grounded and well intentioned.”

In June of 2019, the trailer for the reboot arrived, making us even more excited for the film to drop. It confirms what we knew already from the cast– Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska team up to form the next generation of Angels. The Angels are working for Charles Townsend but the Townsend Agency has now expanded internationally, meaning there are now several teams of Angels working for several Bosleys across the globe.
